Mc Gill Street, Hawkesbury

Retaining Wall Rehabilitation

Site:
Ontario, Canada

To maintain infrastructure maintenance and prevent potential geo-hazard risks to Mc Gill Street, a vital link between Hawkesbury-Ontario and Hawkesbury-Quebec, our team was tasked by the Corporation of the Town of Hawkesbury to review the design of proposed engineering solutions, drafting tender and specification documents, and assisting in the evaluation of tender submissions and the award process.

Several regulatory bodies, including indigenous groups, were involved due to the proximity of the existing wall to flowing body of water. Major criterion was to maintain traffic flow along Mc Gill Street, the main corridor between provinces.
